Onsen Tamago
Onsen Tamago means “hot spring egg” slow-cooked at low temperature so the white becomes silky and the yolk creamy. It’s great on rice, noodles, or as a simple protein side. This gentle cooking method gives a unique texture that’s different from regular boiled eggs, and you can make it easily at home even without a hot spring.
